Instructional Design

Senior Instructional Designer
With 18 years of experience at the Department of State’s Foreign Service Institute (FSI), I specialize in designing impactful digital learning experiences, knowledge management solutions, and engaging instructional content. As an agile and creative learning professional, I’ve developed and quality-checked over 50 courses, crafted guided journals and graphic novels for Foreign Service families, and played a key role in launching FSI’s Office of the Provost’s knowledge management infrastructure.
Courses I have developed for the Department of State include:
- Cybersecurity Awareness
- Annual Counterintelligence and Insider Threat Awareness Training
- Protecting Personally Identifiable Information
- Promoting International Religious Freedom
- Overseas Crisis Readiness
- Introduction to Risk Management at the Department of State
- Managing a Fulbright Program at Post
- Internet Freedom
- Foreign Service Labor-Management Relations
- …and dozens more
Guided Journals and Zines: As FSI supports foreign service officers and their families, I have developed materials for children of foreign service parents. These include workbooks and graphic novel zines for elementary and middle school students. These materials are available to the public.
